NRA "FIRST STEPS"

Classes for pistol, rifle, and shotgun. One on One instruction on safety, handling, and shooting a particular firearm. Entry level instruction for first time gun purchasers. NRA PERSONAL PROTECTION

Classes are offered in the spring and fall. A 12 hour class that is divided into three parts that are tailored for families and especially women.

Part One: Covers the different kinds of pistols, their safety and operation, and covers many aspects of ammo. Part one is usually a weekday evening class.

Part Two: Also on a weekday evening. The County Sheriff and a local Judge discuss the many ways to make yourself less likely to be chosen as a victim and Indiana law concerning using lethal force.

Part Three: Saturday mornings and consists of actual live fire at personal protection distances. If a student does not yet have pistol, an instructor will supply one but, the student is responsible for furnishing the ammo. Cost is $45. Contact: Donn Bonner (765) 649-1525 Email fcvccsec@aol.com
